My trivia today comes from trivia on the Disney Movie Rewards Facebook page. Yesterday they asked the question:
From the Disney/Pixar film Monsters, Inc., what is Boo’s real name?
Uhh…..I was stumped.
And I couldn’t believe that! I claim Monsters, Inc. as my favorite Disney/Pixar film! I love that movie. Can quote that movie. Know that movie. How did I not know that?
So now I ask you. Do you know?
What is Boo’s real name?
Turns out…it’s Mary. I would have known this if I had been more observant and noticed that she wrote her name on one of the pictures she drew and showed to Sulley before going to sleep in his apartment. Mary Gibbs, who was two years old at the time (!), provided the voice for baby Boo, so it was her name that was given to the adorable, pig-tailed toddler.
Yup, had no idea. I’m so embarrassed. I take such pride in knowing my Disney movie trivia. Pride comes before the fall, I guess. Feel free to leave any encouraging comments, if you didn’t know this one either.
While doing some post-Google research, I also stumbled upon some more fun baby Boo facts. Rumor has it that she makes a more “grown-up” appearance in Toy Story 3! In the Butterfly Room at Sunnyside Daycare, a slightly older Boo-look-alike picks up a blue stuffed cat and says “Boo!”. Remember how she used to call Sulley “Kitty”? Kinda sweet, huh? I’m totally going to go back and watch Toy Story 3 now and look for her.
Gotta run! Jack Jack is on the move, and if he doesn’t “put that thing back where it came from, so help me!…”
