Disney’s Wide World of Water Sports

Last week we found out that Typhoon Lagoon is a great place to hang 10 with the waves, but there is another lagoon in Walt Disney World that offers up a whole slew of water sports for your whole family. Where, you ask? Seven Seas Lagoon, right outside of Magic Kingdom, and it’s adjoining Bay Lake! Sammy Duvall’s Water Sports Centre, located at the Contemporary Resort Marina, invites you to have all the fun you can splash up in Walt Disney World.

*Note Sammy Duvall’s Water Sports Centre requires all those 18 and under to have adult permission and an adult must be present when any/all waivers are signed.

You must be five years or older to ride with weight  requirements between 125 lbs – 330 lbs. Flights take place seven days a week, weather permitting, between 9:00-4:30 in summer seasons, and 10:00-4:30 in winter seasons. Pricing is as follows:

Personal Watercraft!

Last, but not least, in the waters of Walt Disney World you can take a guided or non-guided excursion on your own personal wave runner! Wave runners hold up to three guests with maximum weight limit 400lbs. You must be 16 or older and contain a valid driver’s license and photo ID to drive the wave runners. Pricing is as follows:

So what do ya think? Would you ever consider taking a day off from the parks to set sail and splash around in Disney’s Seven Seas Lagoon? There really is no end to the amount of fun you can have on your next WDW vacation…it’s all up to you!
