So, the Walt Disney World Facebook fan page posted some pictures of the Wilderness Lodge this morning and my heart did cartwheels in my chest. Our Disney chain is getting so short! We only have a little over a month to go! Eee!!

Everyday I let Jack tear off another link and we do this silly little side skip around the kitchen and sing,

We’re gonna go to Disney World, Disney World, Disney World;
We’re gonna go to Disney World when all our chains are gone!

Everyday. Without fail. Sometimes we even get Tim to participate. 😉

Tim is extra excited about this year’s trip, too, because this will be his first time staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Although its not my first time staying there, I’ve never stayed there for 7 nights, 8 days.

7 NIGHTS, 8 DAYS!

THAT’S a vacation.

We love the Wilderness Lodge. Even Tim. We visit it on each trip just to walk around, visit it’s gift shop, wonder at the amazing lobby…

The totem pole that we take Jack’s (and now, Cole’s) growth chart pictures in front of is there, as well, right outside of the gift shop.

I have daydreams of lounging by the huge fireplace (preferably at Christmastime) cozying up with a good book for an hour or two. Maybe someday…when our kids are teenagers and can go do their own thing for a little while. Sigh.

And Tim doesn’t know it yet, but I’ve kind of resolved to buy this mug while we are there, so I can longingly think about our stay once we get back, over my steamy cup of morning joe.

Eek! I’m so excited! I can barely stand it. One more month, one more month; I think I can make it.
