Outside of a few Trip Report posts, I’ve been pretty absent from cyber world. Just thought I’d catch ya up and wish you a Happy Halloween all at once! This October:
We modestly decorated our Crooked Little House. Festive, but not over the top.
We hosted our small group each Tuesday, and prepared the snack this past Tuesday with a Halloween theme.
{The pumpkin faces were made with black electrical tape; an idea I stole from my All You magazine subscription. To eat: Halloween funfetti cupcakes and an orange Cheetos/Cheezit mix. Halloween is all about being a kid again, right?}
We carved pumpkins…
played a little dress up…
and this cool kid got dedicated!
We spent time with our very best friends and baked spooky haunted house brownies. Yum!
To top it all off, we had a wonderful Halloween night right here at home!
That’s right. Call us party poopers {to us, our party was hoppin‘!}, but we skipped the dressing up and trick-or-treating and opted for a family fun night in our Crooked Little House.
We started out with pizza, then we built a fire. We put on our “dress up” jams and snacked on cupcakes, candy, and roasted marshmallows. Cole went to bed at his usual 7:30 bedtime, but Jack got to stay up an extra hour to pass out candy to costume-clad trick-or-treaters and watch It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. He was totally stoked when a same-sized Spiderman gave him a high five.
It was truly a great evening. I am thanking my big God for my fun family tonight. We are truly blessed.
Hope you had an equally fantastic evening! Happy Halloween!
With love, Malorie
Looks like a great Halloween to me. I especially liked the picture of the pumpkin carvings (I wonder why?) and the one of Jack acting scary. Wonderful Halloween for the Elrods.
